    Hi All,

I'm experiencing the most peculiar thing... is it normal for my Z70V battery to be making noises while the machine is running on battery power?

    Thanks,
    Sandeep

I would say..... no.... it's not normal. There shouldn't be anything moving or clicking in there. Is it on going and on a regular pace? But then again, is it really coming from the battery? or the maybe the HD? CD? or fan?

Edit: Actually I remember my old Toshiba making a tiny feedback noise through the speakers. They were tiny beeps (you can barely hear), but they were there.

    Hi,

Are there any updates to this issue? I seem to be getting the same thing as well.

It is actually quite noticeable for me, and I guess I would describe it more like a sharp buzzing sound.

I found out that if I use CHC and lower the CPU speed to 800 MHz, then the sound disappears. However, once I raise the CPU speed, the sound intensity increases proportional to how much I raise by.

Interestingly as well, if I put a lot of load on the CPU while it is at a high speed (e.g. with Prime95 running), then the noise disappears.
