    blinking orange battery indicator, bad dc jack?

    I have a v6j which stopped taking power from the ac adapter and just blinks the battery indicator whenever plugged in. I opened up my laptop and noticed that the dc jack is on a separate board from the rest of the motherboard. Would replacing this possibly fix my problem?
