    broken lcd removed, no display on hooked up vga monitor

    Guys,

    My asus ul30vt got broken lcd. I removed the lcd including the connectors. Once i tried booting up, HDD indicator showing activity but no signal going through to thw vga monitor. Already tried the Fn keys several times but no joy.

    Someone can shed some light?

    Sounds like your trouble is the display adapter (video chip), not the display. How was the LCD you removed broken?
