    Afternoon guys

I have had this problem for a while now and I cannot work out for the life of me how to solve it. I have an asus f3jp with windows 7.

When I first switch on my laptop, it's ok for a couple of hours but it then starts saying usb device not recognised, making the device removed sound, and repeating....constantly. I have tried to installing the device, and again it says not recognised.

This is very annoying but only part of the problem. I have realised that my built in webcam is no longer working as well...and I am assuming the two problems are connected. Around about the same time I get the usb notifications, the light on my webcam starts to flash. My webcam is no longer an active device in device manager. It was in hidden devices (I have since uninstalled from there in an attempt to get it to install itself correct) with a code 45 not connected correctly error.

Any ideas on what to do?

It is possible the webcam is not well connected to the motherboard anymore or could be on it's way out.

You could try updating your chipset and webcam drivers.
