Hello every one I am new here but I have been trolling for some time looking at the reviews and how members are here. Well to let you know every one seems to be a nice group of people and I would like to ask some question, so please forgive me if they have already been asked.

I am looking at building a c90 laptop and this will be my first build. The question that I have is the E6700 is no longer being made (I can't seem to find any one that sales them) and I was wondering if the E6750 would actually fit due to it being close related to the E6700 series. The other question that I have is I am looking for a good Mini-PCIe Wi-Fi card and wondering if any one has any experience from which they could offer opinions regarding this model.

This is my current set up that I have been looking into:

    Case=C90-C90s

    Hard Drive= 320GB 5400 RPM

Memory= OCZ memory I was looking into this due to the fact that I am a big OCZ fan

    Video Card= 8600GT 512MB Or I was looking at the 8600M GT 256MB GDDR3

I have been told that the DDR3 would run more cooler then the DDR2 but it would lose some of the power if I went with the DDR3 knowing that it has 259MB instead of 512MB.

    Wireless Card= N/A (Still looking)

Wait for the new c90p coming out in june/july. It will have a newer chipset supporting the new intel processors and will come with a 9 series gpu and have better heatsinks. It would be worth the wait.

I would highly recommend E8400 if you want high performance CPU.

After owning the C90s for a few months, I STRONGLY recommend you purchase the system with everything installed from either GentechPC or BtoTech. The C90s is infamously known for being extremely picky on the type of ram it uses and only certain brands and models will work.
As for the 8600m GT GDDR3 GPU, it actually runs hotter than the DDR2 version due to higher core/mem speeds. Asus has stopped offering the GDDR3 cards due to overheating issues.
The fastest/best CPU the C90s can take is the E6700. You can still purcahse them from amazon.

Wow that is a good amount of responses in just a little time. I will look into the C90p and see what I can come up with but thanks for the responses. I am just looking for something I can do myself and actually have fun doing it :p

Get the E6600 do not waist money on the E6700 it is only like 200mhz faster after you use the overclocking mode and that is rather pointless.

The c90p would be a better idea probably, however we do not know for sure if it will come out....

Thank you for the information. I have been reading up on the c90p and it seems that it will be a good barebone but the only down part is like you said "Don't know when the official release date it"

What about a wireless PCIe card? Any one know of any good ones?

Why would you need a wireless PCIe card?

I would say sometime very soon, or June the latest.
