hi, I emailed nexus13, a UK asus retailer and they said the asus c90p is going to be released in September - October, its not an exact date, but better than nothing, and its going to cost between £999 - £2500 which is alot, but in the US probably $1500 - £3500 I'm thinking.
regards alex

asus does not plan on releasing any more barebones in the USA. I believe this is their global strategy as well.
-
Wow, that's is like, 6 times more expensive than the c90s...
-
That price tag wasn't expected from me, asus kinda went expensive if it's 3500. jeez...

Laptops are becoming cheaper. There is no way the c90p is that expensive. That is either misinformation or just eruo pricing which is alot more.
-
whoa, sorry the US price was me taking the UK price and doubling it minus a third, roughly because you don't pay VAT and the conversion rate is roughly 2 to 1, where the $3500 would be the max spec and the $1500 would be the min spec. but the UK price is from the retailer.
-
correct ur info >>> max is 1750 or less , min !!? dunno yet
-
I guess the release date really is September - October... This laptop won't be able to cope with the current gaming laptops like the Gateway 7811 FX (9800m GTS under $1500) and the Sager 2096 ($1300 including a 9600m GT).
-
w00t, the 9700M GT is getting closer, its been added to the newer drivers from Dell and Compaq, now lets see if the newer versions from the Asus drivers will include it.
-
Asus just have to release the barebone at an acceptable price. I mean, why was the barebone C90S $800 while the barebone S96S + 8600M GS was $550? If the barebone C90P is $500, it will be really cheap with current hardware prices. -
I'll be surprised if the C90P can actually offer some competition with the gaming laptops out there for under $1500 considering it's three months passed its rumored launch date. -
F" the c90p, I want a new video card. Hopefully the new cards for the c90p will be compatible with the c90s as well.
c90p release date!
