Well iv been researching for about 1 month now but i havnt found a solution to my problem iv had the c90s from velocity mirco since about november 2007 and i always had that problem with the hibernation and closing the lid that causes the moniter to remain black but after a few hard restarts its usually comes back online but about 1 month ago i shut it off to take it somewhere (but i didn't use it)and when i braught it back and turned it back on it wouldnt work anymore.when i called the VM customer support they made me check that everything was secured correctly and as far as i could tell it was but before i send it in i wanted to know your thoughts on this and possible solutions. The moniter dpesnt even flicker when i turn the laptop on right now im using an external display but i would like to fix the moniter anyway im sorta pissed that iv only had this for 4-5 months and i don't feel like paying for the shipping and a new insurance if their another soultion to this.

thanks to anyone who answers in advanced.

If you've already checked the cable connection between the LCD and the motherboard, I'd say there isn't much more you can do. Since you see nothing at all on the screen, the issue may be with the inverter that provides power to the LCD. Unless you feel very comfortable disassembling the LCD, I wouldn't recommend trying to change that yourself, and it's possible the issue is with the LCD itself and changing the inverter wouldn't even help if you tried. At this point, I'd say send it back and let the factory take care of it.

Agreed, sending it back is the best solution for you.
