    Hi,

After my c90s goes into hibernation, (blue power light flashing and everything virtually off), the screen never turns back on.

    I have tried:
closing and opening lid again (no effect PC just goes back into hibernation mode at best)
clicking and moving mouse and typing (no effect)
    fn F6 (no effect)
    Fn F7 (no effect)

It doesn't matter whether it self hibernated or whether I chose it from windows start menu result is the same.

    Any tips?
typing in password for account does nothing

    thanks

Yup, requires the power button to be hit once. It's not like Sleep mode. This is a Vista-exclusive. :)

For example, on my desktop, when I choose Hibernation, the loading light below the power button blinks, and when I hit the button, everything loads up just fine.

Hi Jag you are not alone so far there is a thread for a G1s and a S96s with same issues (im having them too)

basically no one knows yet... i simply opted to disable hibernation/sleep mode entirely from all the option till a fix is found.

And yes it is NOT a crash after waking up (Xp or vista both are waked up via pushing the flashing power button) i can use the finger rpint reader to log on and i hear the ok sound, but the screen just wont turn on again.

Sorry i cant be of more help

does anybody know if there is a solution found for the screen not turning on after hybernate or sleep? I got a AMD Turion 64 bit x2 and my screen doesnt turn on after sleep or hybernate.
I know the laptop turns on and I can log on with the finger print and start some stuff but the screen just dont turn on (completely dark)...

    Thanks for any help/info...

I'm not sure there is a fix for this, I've heard it mentioned recently... Check the owner's lounge perhaps?

You can try updating the ACPI drivers because it's either those, or bad interplay between ACPI and video drivers.

I had the same issue, both with the Standby and the Hibernate mode. I solved it by updating all the ATK / ACPI drivers and using newer video drivers (169.28).
    good luck

Are you using the 174.xx drivers? I does the same thing to me under those. I reverted to 171 and it works well now.

Seconding JCMS, the drivers are at fault in this case. My c90 was running and sleeping fine till I changed the video driver. It would go to sleep, then when it was cut back on the screen would stay blank. The only way to get it back on is to hold the power button till it cuts off and then turn it back on. After I tried another driver it worked perfectly again. Try this one, its the one I'm using at the moment and works with sleep mode.
