    hi everyone,

I am growing increasingly frustrated by a number of small issues with my laptop. I am yet though to see vista sp1 in WU. I would really like to get it on to see if it makes any difference.

So my question; I am sure I have seem a few people here with the c90s and sp1, did you get it from WU or just download the standalone?

A few months ago when it first came out I had a few of the problem drivers, one was the sound card which I updated and the other was the fingerprint scanner, at the time I couldn't find the driver I needed to I just deleted it as I wasn't using it. But now I see that none of the UPEK drivers seem to be listed a problematic with SP1.

I read something on here a few days ago at work about some updates that were needed before sp1 could be installed, stupidly I didn't take note and I can't seem to located that thread now.

What do you guys think? should I wait it out or just get the standalone?

    Sam

Mine was thru windows update, no problems as far as I can tell, and no fixes that I can see ether except that the internet connects instantly upon boot.

I do not have C90 (i have F8Sn) but I DO have Vista that came without SP1 and I've received SP1 after 7 days via download. Everything was absolutely smooth - just took relatively long time (20 min or more) to download and even more time to install.
When your SP1 arrives, be patient
