    Hi!

I really want a c90s but for various reasons the only store I can buy it from is Circuit City where they sell it as Velocity Micro Notemagix x20.

Can anyone please give me feedback on the c90s that CC sells?
Does CC offer a +1gb (3gb total) upgrade?
From what I've read, there are concerns about the wattage of the power supply it comes with. Does the c90s that CC sell have a 90W or a 120W power supply?

    Thanks

Btw, Welcome to the Notebookreview forums!

To answer your questions, yes there is a wattage issue only if you were to upgrade the video card to the 8600m GT 256 DDR3 then you would require the 120W power for motherboard revsions lower than F06. Unneeded for higher than F06(won't be able to check without opening the unit).

AS for the ram, I wouldn't suggest upgrading it at CC, as there is a known compability issue with RAM and only a small selected brands/speeds work at the moment. I've heard of brands that work are Kingston, Corsairs, Super Talent, and Apacer at the moment. It also depends if they are 1GB or 2GB modules. Drop over at the c90s owners lounge for more info if you do end up purchasing a C90s.

From the forums above, the Velocity Micro is exactly like any other C90s, but from the general consensus it seems like they are all of an older motherboard revision(perhaps the most of the first & 2nd batch were sent to them).

    Thanks, sorry for that.

I can't believe I missed those, I've been lurking in these forums since c90s came out.
