    Hi everybody.

Firstly I have a c90s running Vista 32bit sp2. Normally I hibernate this machine rather then doing a full shutdown.

A while ago I noticed something odd. I turned the machine odd then went a way to do something, when I came back the screen was black, when I moved the mouse it came back. A tested it a bit and sure enough the screen was turning off while Vista was on the log on screen. I checked my power management, I had it set to turn off but not for 20 min.

So today I went to have a shower, when I got back my screen was off and It would not turn back on, I had to force a restart. After doing a win update and chkdsk I completely turned of all power management settings. I left it on the log on screen and went away to do some stuff, when I got back it was turned off completely!

I have done three major things to my machine this year. One was replace the video card as the old one died. Two install sp2 and Three install the free version of Comodo Internet Security. Of late my machine as completely locked up twice now on start up and I am pretty unsure about Comodo.

Has anyone about there had any similar experiences?

Check your BIOS settings (hit F2 at system startup) and make sure LCD power saving is not enabled.
