Hey so i was just browsing their site today and something leaped out at me. I think it may be connected to some of the recent questions people were posing
Note:
1. The 2.66 GHz CPU can support up to Gaming Mode as the maximum of 2.93 GHz. Overclocking past this will render the system unstable.
2. 2.93 GHz CPUs cannot utilize Overclocking and Gaming modes.

i didnt get all those cards; but how do you check you 3dmark score on the demo version?
-
You make the full thest and it'll tell you
-
got a 4.5 on the windows test but even though i have the drivers cd i think i should have at least more programs for the wifi card
-
Yeah the wifi driver was a pain, but the one from intel.com worked fine. I have almost the same specs, but with ultimate x64 as you do sageo1. Off the top of my head, does anyone know how much faster the 250gb hd is from the 160gb, if both are 5400 rpm. Because for me, there is a huge difference on speed from my desktop wit raid and my laptop, and i want to diminish it somewhat, maybe to the level of my server.
-
250GB will be the same speed.
Well on your desktop you probably have a SATA2 7200RPM while there you have SATA1 5400RPM. 7200RPM will boot abit faster but SATA2 is 2x faster than SATA1
SATA-> 150MB/s HDD->system, 1.5GB/S on HDD operation and SATA2 is 300MB/S and 3GB/S -
-
What.......?
-
My Desktop is running 2x160 gb and 2x500 gb hd's in a raid 0 array. I'm Hoping to go to Fry's This week and pick up two more 500 gig hd's to replace the 160gb ones.
-
When will we see a drive sustaining 150 MB/second from a single spindle? Not in the forseeable future.

We knew that a long time ago, With the e6700 you cant even choose overclock mode it gets greyed out, so I am guessing that the same goes for the e6800 with both overclock modes.
-
Either way the windows index isn't the best indicator of performance. -
I believe it was posted that the lowest score was the gpu
-
-
It has GDDR3, not DDR2
-
-
I wish....
-
It's DDR2.
AFAIK,the onlly GDDR3 8600M GT laptop are the G1S/G2S and The MacBookPRO -
The difference is, you can buy the same parts that the G1S, G2S or MBP has, but with a desktop processor, and have money left over to purchase the DDR3 version when it comes out, perhaps even the 8800. Can't do that with the G1S/G2S/MBP.
-
There won't be any GDDR3 MXM II 8600M GT. Oh and, it's GDDR3, not DDR3. DDR3 cannot be clocked higher than 1600mhz anyway whilke GDDR3 can kick a 2400mhz. Dell 8600M GT has DDR3 800 so same thing as DDR2.
I hope the HD 2600XT MXM II will be GDDR3 -
Sure the C90 may have a nicer card you can upgrade to in a while. In the short term a MPB should have enough power for games. By the time there is a real need to get a new GPU (for me) there will be nicer/better laptops available.
I do like the C90's design philosophy. I had to go buy a Torx driver to replace the Hard drive on my soon to be here MPB. Taking a part the MPB is going to be painful compared to a C90.
I would like to see more manufacturers going to a standard video card slot of some sort (pinless say..). It would be really nice if I could just upgrade the video card in my NW8440. -
But ther MACs are considerably more expensive than the PC

The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Macs are waaay overpriced in my perspective.

cant complain; but the keybard is a little small and differently spaced.
