I don't have the w7s but I have a w7j when it originally came out a year ago. Quality is great. Screen viewing angles are great. The heat is ok, not too hot, but not cool either. Battery life is relatively ok. For all the power I'm getting the rated 3 hours is where I should expect a battery to be. However, after a year of use, I am getting about 2 - 2.5 hours out of the battery while surfing the internet and using word.

    I have w7s-a1w for about a week
I wanted notebook that could handle all the task
I've been looking at w7 series since april but after asus upgraded w7j to w7s
i didn't hesitate to buy one
i've been looking all over like some of you here in the forum
trying to get more info about w7s
finally i got my hands on it :)

only bad thing i could say about this machine is probably the "heat"
but i solved that problem with notebook cooler (vantec lapcool4)

if your buying w7s i recommend getting notebook cooler
    espacially vantec lapcool4

    anyway
I think most people here are confused whether to get
sony sz, dell m1330, or asus w7s
but for me asus w7s no doubt
