Just got my u6vc and I'm extremely pleased. I think I was a bit hesitant about the purchase since the u6 lounge thread had quite a few negative comments but Asus delivered.
I'm just wondering if power4play will still work if I undervolt the laptop, or would power4play override the undervolting settings.

I've never tried doing that on my U6V, and I wouldn't recommend it either.

you mean undervolting?

I undervolt using Rightmark and use P4G on my G2S. To my knowledge, Rightmark is the default power setting. I know it has many options within in, some at the shareware level. I have not toyed with it enough to see if it will only undervolt and not deal with any stepping/power management. I am already using modified graphics drivers, so my power scheme is always on "High" with the default settings. As long as you are safe with your voltages, there should be no damage done. If you are worried, do some testing and see. Once you undervolt, there should be no reason to limit your clocks as you are already using less power.

If using RMClock to undervolt, I suggest you also use it to control the clocks. A RMClock+Power4Gear combo will probably work, though. But how would it be useful? Maybe because Power4Gear controls other things as well (e.g., brightness)?

yes you can use rmclock with power4gear. rmclock cpu management will override the cpu management of power4gear. so you can use diffrent power4gear profiles to control brightness, harddisk, sleep etc, but will use rmclock cpu management.

If I set startup to "performance on demand," will that slow down the speed of vista boot up? Or would the load during boot up be high enough that it will throttle to the max multiplier (essentially running at full speed of the processor)?
can power4gear work in conjunction with a undervolting software?
