    Hello,
I recently bought a UX31A refurbished from ebay. The laptop works perfectly except the keyboard backlight. Anyone know if there is any shortcut keys to enable it? I press FN+F3 or FN+F4 but nothing hapens. only the keyboard led working ( Power button, caps lock, wirelles etc.). Also with FN+A I disable the sensor but the keyboard remains with backlight off. I have installed also a clean windows 8 with all drivers from asus and the latest from intel.

I know some Asus laptops have in BIOS an option to enable/disable the keyboard light. BUT only a service can access it.

If your was refurbished, maybe at some point is was in a service and the keyboard light was disabled. It's worth asking an Asus service about this on the phone to get a faster answer.
