alright, so far i am looking at one of these two notebooks:
1)
ASUS F3SC-A1 Core 2 Duo T7100 GeForce 8400 1GB 160GB 15.4IN WXGA Vista Premium WLAN DVD+-RW Notebook
$1,339.00 CAD
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...nufacture=ASUS
3)
ASUS F3SV-X1 Core 2 Duo T7300 GeForce 8600 GS 1GB DDR2 160GB 15.4IN WXGA Vista Premium Notebook
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...nufacture=ASUS $1,499.99 CAD
http://www.infonec.com/site/main.php?module=detail&id=349219 $1,435.00 CAD
i am leaning toward the F3SV because of the better video card and processor though.
I was just wondering if anyone has purchased their laptop from infonec before and i would like to know how good their service is. I hvae heard alot of good things from NCIX, but if infonec has good customer service, i would like to save myself that $64![]()
i checked out resellerratings.com but they only have one person who rated it, and it was over 6 months ago (but he did rate it a 10/10, but only one rating isnt very reliable)

You might want to keep in mind you won't have to pay your provincial sales tax if you order from ncix.com . Infonec might try and still charge you it.
-
I've bought alot from NCIX(cause I only need to pay GST!) and so far I haven't had a problem fortunately. However, I can't commend on such a large cost item like a notebook, it's up to you.
-
infonec shouldnt be able to charge pst either though because im in saskatchewan, but im thinking i should order from NCIX because i really dont want my laptop to break down and then have troubles getting service from infonec if they are not good, but im still welcoming anyone else to pitch in here, good experiences or bad
(i shoulda put infonec vs ncix in the title, mighta got more responses)

FWIW, if you're buying from NCIX before the 26th, make sure to go through the summer deals link on the front page as it's on sale in there. It brings the two much closer overall in price. Unfortunately, I haven't purchased from either company so I can't comment on that aspect.

customer support isn't really much of an issue b/c if you have any problems with your notebook, you would directly speak with asus.
-
and, even if the computer was DOA, i would still deal with ASUS? -
I ordered my SV-x1 from Newegg @ $1400.
-
NCIX will also price-match. Dunno about Infonec. -
i'm pretty certain that if you got a doa, the company would just refer you back to asus. most asus dealer these days are drop shippers, meaning that they have no physical stock of asus notebooks, but instead would get the packages to ship from asus's wearhouse.

im going to phone NCIX today and talk to them, i still dont trust buying stuff online, so im guna talk to them about price matching and stuff like that
cheap reseller, but good service
