well, it seems that my notebook isn't going to hold out until summer of next year like i hoped it would. it keeps freezing and refuses to turn on after i shut it down unless i reset my battery and ram. i'm thinking that i will just buy a cheap computer to last me a year and then purchase another notebook in the summer. i was planning on getting something very low cost like the compaq v2000z for $500. i highly doubt that there are any asus notebooks that can be bought for that price, but i figured i would give it a try. oh, and if anyone wants to give me a free notebook (especially if it's an a8jm or w3j :D ), that will be fine too. :p

Well the Z62j/S62j "might" be the cheapest Asus Laptops out there. It depends..

Asus and cheap dont neccessarily go in the same sentence. Im thinking that I wont be able to afford a nicely spec'd asus, so I might just get an IBM T41p/T42p from ebay.

I have to agree that the budgetest of all Asus notebooks is probably the A3 series... which is still quite decent.

Got a W3j with your name on it - that is if you can go to Taiwan and bring mine back as well...just grab my box and the one under it and tell them that the Wolf sent you directly.

Otherwise splurge a little if there's one that you want more than the one you can "afford" today. There's something to be said about paying a little extra for something you'll like a whole lot more.

incidentally, i was going to take my jet for a ride to taiwan...you know, to pass the time. want me to pick anything else up in addition to our w3js? maybe a couple a8jms....child slave laborers....whatever...

however, my name better be written in glowing, sparkling hot pink letters, or i don't know if it will be acceptable....if it isn't i will have to keep your w3j and use it as a paddle for keeping my slaves in line. (i think i'm on crack...hrmmm...)
