Is it possible for me to buy the extended warranty AFTER I buy the laptop? Just curious...thanks!

30 days. After that you're out of luck.
I've had some pretty good luck with their extended warranties for a HDTV (full purchase price exchanged for new TV under Lemon policy) - never tried w/ computers though.
EDIT: You'll want to read the fine print about what is covered though. I'd see computers as much harder to prove the issue is covered under warranty. I doubt they cover more likely reasons for a problem...ie - software or virus issues. If you're not careful, you'll spend $400 or more on a warranty that you won't be able to use if you have a problem. -
You are usually better off buying the warranty from the manufacturer.
