im looking for a new lappy and was considering the studio xps 13 but i decided to shop around first. I want something light but powerful and the sxps13 is up there in the 13" notebooks. I decided to look into 14" and found the asus n81, the specs on this thing are pretty awesome for a 14'.

the only problem is i know nothing about asus notebooks. things like build quality, longevity, and reliability are important because i need this new laptop to last till i graduate and that might take awhile.

im looking for some info and feedback from asus users whether its good or bad so that i have a better idea of what asus is all about.

asus is really no different then their larger competitors. Though you may think the name is small they are actually the manufacturer for alot of products (not just notebooks) behind the big brands. They are very competetive in the high end notebook sector. they are also trying to get their foot in the door of the low to mid range sector. N81 is a good bang for your buck you really have to search far to find anything for the price in the same size and specs.
