    any one knows when ASUS with merom (core 2 duo) will be available in US ?

    It's still quite unknown, the ETA has ranged from October to November.

    Some resellers do have the C2D on stock so you can get ASUS barebones systems with them. I have a Z96J with a T7400 coming in soon.

    That's correct, expect to start seeing ASUS Merom notebook coming in October and November, there are a numerous amount of laptops that will be recieving a merom refresh.

    You can do a quick search, there's a list of all the ASUS notebooks that are expected to come with Merom.

    off topic abit .
    i can buy a t7400 cpu for 300€ something around 380 dollar .is that price any good .it is assembled and he keeps the old cpu .

    asenna: no not really, thats basically like paying 380$ for labor, since the core duo and core 2 duo have the same price..tho you can say mark down 100$ for the core duo since its being replaced..but still

    280$ for labor yay~
