Lately I have been using my g1s for some light gaming, usually 1-2 hours each time. I noticed that using speedfan, my cpu temperature is around 60c and my gpu temperature(using rivatuner) is at 81c. Are these normal temperature? I don't want to roast my first laptop so soon.

The CPU is about right, if not a bit low. The GPU is a tad high in my opinion. Have you tried using another program to check temperatures?

Those temperatures are safe. But for light gaming, the GPU is a bit high. Try Notebook Hardware Control or Mobmeter, maybe they will give different results.

That's nothing to worry about IMO. The Core 2 Duo is OK up until about 80c then I'd be worried. The GPU downclocks at 130c so it doesn't seem dangerously high.

    edit: Nevermind, too slow.

I tried using hd tune to check the temperature of my hard drive, but after the first time opening the program. It says "cannot find drive" and it shows that it cant find a hard drive. My hard drive is the 160gb hitachi 5400rpm one. Anyone have a solution??

Sounds a lot familiar like this thread

Seems it works with v2.5 and not with 2.53..

My samsung GPU is @ around 80~83 C @ full load and my friend's f3sv is around 95 @ full load so I think you "should" be fine. It seems like the GPU these days run hotter than they used to. If it starts to massively slow down, or you start to see artifacts, or you have random crashes in game, that's probably a sign of overheating.
