I just got a z63a barebone from directron and found that it had a dead pixel in the lower left hand side of the screen ~5 inches in from the sides, so it is noticeable.

is there a way to fix it?

on another note. the dvd-rom/cdrw combo doesnt fit into the laptop that was supposed to fit according to directron.

is it possible for me to get an exchange of some sort because of the dead pixel and the bad media bay?

    i tried minimal force
i tried taking it out of the housing. it wouldnt fit

then i tried as hard as i could, shoving it in. pushing as hard as i could, etc. its the connector that wont connect. the lock mechansim works i think because the switch does move when i try to push it in hard enough.
