i'm currently in the market for a new laptop. currently i'm debating between a few asus models and 2 other brands.

The first model would be Asus Lamborghini VX3, the second model would be the Asus U2E. The other 2 laptops would be the Macbook Air and the VoodooPC Envy 133.

From reading the forum, i found that the Asus Lamborghini VX3 didn't perform nearly as good for the price of the laptop. on the other hand, reviews have said that the U2E is probably one of the best models that asus has put out for ultra-portables.

My main reason for getting the laptop is for business use. I will also be using it for photoshop which may be a memory hog.

for experts, which of the these laptops would be better suited for me?

Since you'll be needing the laptop for photoshop, I suggest the Lamborghini if you can afford it. It's the only laptop on your list that comes with a *real* mobile processor. The other laptops are only available with ultra mobile processors which require less power but are much slower.

If you want you can also look into other capable laptops like the xps m1330 and the Sony SZ both of which are much cheaper than the lambo but are equally powerful.

EDIT: Also make sure to get at least 3GB of ram.

i don't want sony or dell.

i want something around 3.5lbs and nothing higher then that. also, battery is very important to me. i want something that above average battery life per charge.

my question is, why does the lamborghini vx3 perform so poorly with the specs given?

I haven't really seen any benchmarks for this laptop but judging by the specs (regular notebook processors and a dedicated graphics card) it should perform much better than the other laptops. Ultra mobile processors like those found in the other three laptops along with integrated graphics cards probably won't give you the performance that you need.

so if i were to compare the voodoopc envy 133 to the u2e, which one would have better performance. it seems that the u2e has very good battery life. as far as cpu speed and performance, please advise.
