    direct X10 question

    hey, need some help.
    I just receive my G2S-A1 with direct X10 the thing is I have a game that needs direct X9 to play.
    my question are
    1- if I unistall direct X10 can I install direct X9?
    2- If I unistall direct X10 can I install it later on if I want to? If so were is the software for the program?

    Don't worry about that. If a game asks you to install DX9, then just click yes, it won't override your DX10 installation. DX9 Games can still run under a DX10 installation.

    Vista has DX9 and DX10 installed. You'll be fine.

    run the command "dxdiag" and see if you dont already have it first

    can you tell me how to fin the "dxdiag" and what do I do with that, please

    Start -> Run -> type dxdiag

    For XP at least. :p

    I've got the G1s, and I don't have to do anything to run DX9 games, unless it is a newer revision of DX9, which is included with the game. I can also run DX10 games without doing anything special. (Company of Heroes, although it cuts the framerate in half - it was just a test).

    Vista comes with DX10, whatever your card is, just like WinXP comes with DX8.1

    Any version of DirectX emulates perfectly the previous version.

    If it gives your an error such as a missing file, type the file name in google and download it!

    It happens on XP too.
