I recently reinstalled Power4Gear because I had an error when going into email/office mode on battery power.

Now when I have the laptop plugged in, I cannot set it to maximum brightness. On High Performance and Super Performance mode it will not go to max brightness when plugged in. help please!

I can still get it to go on max brightness under high performance on battery power. As soon as I plug it in though, it switches to a lower brightness setting.

Customize the settings in powergear..... don't flip out, they're just settings :)

actually, the easiest thing to do is once plugged in, use fn+f6 to crank your brightness to max (powergear remembers the setting). Then go through each mode and set your brightness that way.

Thanks flax, you solved my problem. I rarely use the Fn key because this is my first laptop. Never would have thought to do that, but now it seems obvious.

Thats a good way to do it too... but you should get into the settings and make yourself familiar with them also....... right click on the powergear icon in the task bar next to the clock...
