    does anyone have the specs for the GTX170M card that will come on the G71Gx ?

    too bad the G71Gx isnt going to come with the GTX260M anymore ...

    what a let down ...

    it was also confirmed by one of the forum member who called up the asus sales officer ... who said that it will come with the GTX170M

    :(

    Well, nVidia was supposed to call the card the GTX 170M, but it ended up being called the 260M.

    that is odd ... how come Asus is calling the card the GTX170M instead of the GTX260M ???

    As in the G71GX ...

    Nah. :nah: The very opposite is true!! ASUS may actually make the not-so-post 9-series' naming scheme... sane. It would only be logical* to abandon this misleading M260 and M280 parts' monikers in favor of GTX170 and GTX+190 (or something like that). What ASUS really means remains to be seen with the advent of the nicest looking# (less flashy and childish) G-series derived ASUS model.

    * Logic is... in the eye of beholder...
    # Beauty not! It is my unshattered belief. Therefore I accept absolutely no argument about that. :wink:
