    this came to mind in another thread but i didnt wanto hijack things anymore than i already was.

    I have an early run s96j (still has the dummy port, i think it was the second shipment to the us)
    i am running the beta bios from when the grainy screen issue first got fixed, and windows xp pro with 2 gigs of ram.

    throughout several windows installs, 3 different harddrives (one faulty, one upgrade) and 2 different bios, i have always had an issue with standby.
    its basically unusable because about 90% of the time if it standbys, it wont start back up without a hard power off, restart.
    basically the computer hums to life, but the screen stays black no matter how long i wait or what i push? is there any solution or is this a hardware problem on these early models.
