I'm thinking of buying an eee to take notes in class with. Should I buy the 4gb model now or should I wait for the "new" model that's supposed to come out mid 2008? Just wanting peoples opinions.

I mean, will the new model be a huge amount better, like tons more battery life and a larger screen and such but without an increase in the cost? Or could I expect a more mild, realistic improvement instead?

Just wait for the CES 2008 results with the ASUS booth. I think there are rumors of a EEE 8.9" LCD, but again it's just rumors right now until the pictures and press release is announced.
