    Hey,
I was wondering if anyone has heard when the new eee 900 series is going to be for sale in the United States? According to this wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASUS_Eee_PC its supposed to be around now? I'm wondering because its my birthday on the 22nd, and I wanted to pick up a nice portable laptop (I already own a macbook pro). Thanks.

Price pointed a bit higher then I would like... considering Canada could see it at $599 plus another 13% in taxes.

    Just a guess..

Since this was a pointless thread since the main home page had the info.... let me ask a question, whats the "atom" version I hear some speak of that they say they are waiting for.

Intel's new cpu small form-factor for ultraportable systems, super low TDW and no big performance hit that usually comes with that. There is one article someplace benchmarking it against VIA's, and there may not be a big difference between them in the end (a bit of a surprise). Comes out along with Montevina in May/June.

Ahh cool, lets hope it wont cost any more, I know alot of people want that model for longer battery life. I would too if the price wont go up. However at 500$ already if it went higher I think it would be too out of the question.
