i am an owner of an asus g51vx-a1 and just upgraded to windows 7.
i have reinstalled the nvidia 185.85 dox driver and its the same one i was using before on vista..however on windows 7 i just can' get my external monitor to run on its native resoulutin which is 1920 x 1080 and it will only allow me up to 1600 x 1200 and even if i tried to force the resolution that doesn't seem to work either and when working on the 1600 x 1200 resolution and using multiple displays then the picture on the external lcd is far at the edge and even when trying to adjust it that would appear to be difficult as well due to the fact u can only have some minor adjustments but if the picture is really far on the right or left then it won't allow it..if i use the external monitor only without the laptop display then the picture is central but still can't run it on full native resolution...anyone has any clue of what might be the problem?
    help would be really appreciated

Try to install your latest monitor drivers, you videocard/monitor might not read correctly under win7 your monitor.

Try other video drivers, maybe 185.85 don't work for well under 7 with you current config. Try NVIDIA GeForce v186.82 WHQL Drivers
