my asus f3sv-a1 lasts around 40minutes on a full charge, while its on battery saving mode. Can i ask asus to give me a new one under warranty? Its only like 4 weeks old.

Maybe it's useful to look into what the problem is, such that you write a more informed RMA request. Is the battery wear very high? Is the battery not charging to full?

I agree, you may want to install NHC or RMClock to see the wear percentage. Regardless, the battery needs to be replaced. You can either do a cros-ship or ship your battery first and then they will ship you a new battery.

Just a reminder, you have a 1 year battery warranty.

58% wear is not how batteries should be. As of now you should be calling Asus to get a replacement.

Agreed, you can say on the RMA form "Max charge abnormally low (42% of the designed max charge) after X weeks/months of usage".

I'm avoiding the term "battery wear" because the many ASUS reps I've talked with claim they do not offer RMA for such a thing, it's not in their manuals. :)
