Hey guys, I'm just wondering how you take care of oily fingerprints and dust on a laptop screen... I have never dealt with laptop screens so I'm not sure how to clean it. I'm pretty sure I can't get a paper towel and rub the fingerprints out... lol please help.

Yeah, the problem with wipping the screen with a paper towel is that the fibers from the paper towel will probably end up making your screen even dirtier than before you wiped it. You want to pick up a micofiber cloth, the type that they use to clean glasses with. In Taiwan Asus gives you one when you buy a laptop but in NA you usually dont get any of those extra little things.

heya, if you do a quick search on the forums, there's a few posts about getting dust and finger prints off, for a nice cheap solution to the fingers prints it's something like a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water mix. Put it in a spray bottle and use a fiberless towel

I also find that a lot of the time, wiping the screen with a microfiber cloth just gathers the dust in one place/pushes it around the screen... so try to slightly dampen the cloth to get the dust to collect onto it.

i agree. Only microfiber cloth is perfect to clean up the screen. It will not make any scratch on the screen as well. Similar apply to wax a car with a mirofiber cloth, then make the surface of paint(screen) clean and shine.
