    Hi All,

I'll be recieving a new Z70V soon (after I decide who to order from!) and I want to know what the best "first steps" are after receiving the package.

    (1) Is it alright to use the computer while its plugged in and charging for the first time?

    (2) What drivers will I need if I'm installing Windows XP for the first time raw? Wi-fi card? Video drivers? Azalia sound? And where do I get these drivers - does Asus have a website for them?

    (3) Should I be installing Powergear?

    (4) Is there any other software you guys consider essential?

    (5) When should undervolting be done?

    Thanks alot,
    Sandeep

slightly off topic, but in regards to undervolting... is there a way to have RightMark CPU Clock Utility to start up automatically when windows starts up???, because right now I have to manually turn it on which gets tedious. thanks

    Time is ticking [ :p]

I'm pretty sure all the drivers will be included.

I've heard PowerGear isn't the best program to use, and there are better ones, but I dont know them myself, and I'd like to know, so, uhh, someone help?[ :)]

Spybot, Anti Virus, Firefox, all the good stuff.

After the review, then undervolt it!!

Euhh, create a shortcut to the program and place it in the "Start --> Programs --> Startup" start menu item ;). That should do the trick for ya.

    Good luck

Eh... There's a checkbok setting that toggles this both in the context menu and on the 'General' tab.
