I know that there is a huge delay with gentech and all other places because of either testing or out of stock but on ebay, they are selling 2 systems for not too much more than others.

the 2.66ghz one is about $130 more than what gentech offers for both but i have contacted the seller via AIM and was told they would ship now and there are no problems with them - already tested. and its $120 extra to make it a 3 year warranty.
just for those who will pay extra to get it now....
-
and for those who care, hes running a pre-production 8800GTX in his clevo M570RU (sarger np5790). been asking questions of how its running....i wish i had one
-
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? -
exactly....
-
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
How does he have one and more importantly does he know release date?
-
Also, if you don't care about the name brand sticker on the laptop your local Circuit City might have the Velocity Micro x20 in stock. I've had mine for over a week now, came with no bloat ware and all the Asus utils installed, everything working flawlessly out of the box.
-
didn't know the release date, but its ISTNC on AIM - he is just an employee there.
though when i asked how he got it, he just said he just requested it from clevo, which i don't see the point in really lying and saying you have one but that seems odd that a simple request to clevo allowed it. I do know clevo has shown a laptop with the 8800 though. -

E6600 2.4Ghz
2GB Crucial RAM
160GB WD Scorpio 5400RPM Hard Disk
Intel wireless
Bluetooth
Cost + California sales tax: $1679
Circuity City had it on sale for $1550 on their website last week and thats the price I paid when I went to the store. The price on their site is now $1599. I think the only one "in stock" now in SoCal is in Torrance. There is a demo unit at the Rancho Cucamonga CC, I bought the boxed one.
Where ever you get it or however long you wait you will LOVE the C90! -
From the Circuit City website:
"Data travels to the processor along the frontside bus. The faster data travels, the faster everything works. This notebook features a 667MHz frontside bus." -
that is a mistake, if it uses the e6600, then it has a 1066mhz and the ram is 667mhz
its just a typing mistake -
Confirmed typo on their site.. my BIOS shows 1066
-
hey ginzero - does it come with all the software from asus? like turbogear, etc?
-

I wanted to buy it from velocitymicro.com, essentially the same price as gentech but the extented warranty is only with 24h service, wich is not available in canada so I pay $300 for a unavaliable service? no!
