Hey guys i turned my system on this morning, and it just froze on the asus splash screen. So I boot down then back on, it made it on then i started getting issues of usb not working. I start unplugging devices, still acting strange. So then i reboot and the system starts doing the same thing again. Last thing I ended up doing is removing the battery backup and running off of wall power. Now the system works fine, no other quirks. Can a battery backup cause all that to happen? I'm contacting asus for a replacement battery. When I would turn the system off I could see the power button flickering, when the battery was attached.

    Thanks

The power button flicker has only happened to me once. It's rebooted fine every time though. I assume you can't get into the BIOS when it's doing that?

Somehow I think this isn't a battery issue, unless it's consistently doing that with the battery in.
