This is dumb, can someone please tell me how to print outside of that white ring when creating a lightscribe disk? or how can I make more areas to print? I have one ring for a "title" but I can only seem to pring on that ring.

i had that problem too. try starting with a blank template, i think that is what i did. however, when i saved it, it reverted back to the ring. so i just had to create it and print it in one go.

if you still have problems i'll have a bit of a muck around on it.

The moment I put it (this post) up, I found the link the download the instructions. You are right, once I figured out how to get a blank template, its all good now. I jsut wish it printed dark on the first pass, and it didn't take so long.

it took about 15 mins for mine to do a normal one. and it didn't turn out that good. not worth the money for the DVD and the time IMO. printable ones are much better value if you have a printer that supports it.

Yup. BUT I bought a set of dvd and cd with lightscribe. It works ok. I figure I would use it once i a while. My home dvd burner doesnt have that feature but I did buy a printer for printable media. Its about 3x faster, BUT it smudges and time consuming in that I need to hookup the printer. On the notebook, its fast if I just need a one liner.
