hey guys, i've been coming to these forums for a month now (and actually read through the 51+ page g1s owners lounge) and finally got my g1s on monday. i dual booted xp and vista with no problems, got everything set up right (hotkey buttons and everything) EXCEPT the sound drivers. This is driving me insane! I keep getting the "microsoft universal bus" error. I don't want to try to reinstall xp just to see if it fixes the problems.

i've read through the forums that have this problem and it doesn't seem like anyone has got it fixed yet. I've tried:

KB835221 (older "fix" to the error)
    kb888111xpsp2 ("fix" to the error)
Audio_XP_061227.zip (g1p audio drivers from asus site)
UAA_XP_060220.zip (g1p utility for audio drivers)
    WDM_R167 (recommended on this site)

and after 3 hours.. I STILL HAVE NO SOUND! If anyone has a G1S and fixed this problem, please help me out. Thanks in advance
