I posted a few days about that thought I had a hotkey button problem b/c my touchpad wont turn off. However, all the other buttons, like internet, power options, email, and power, work no problem. I tried to reinstall ATK hotkey and that did not help.

The touchpad works, except I cant use the scroll down function, and that it wont turn off. I looked on asus' support website with no help. Anyone know what the problem could be? I really appreciate any help

Is there an app in the taskbar that lets you control your touchpad?? That's the only other thing I can think of that would let you control those options unless there is something physically wrong with it... :S Hope this helps!

no theres no app that I know of, and i doubt theres a physical problem b/c it was working fine one day, then started it up the next and the touchpad wouldnt work without anything bad happening to the laptop. im gonna call asus when i have time this next week

I just checked the support CD. It is on there too. The folder name is "TOUCHPAD." If you want to use the program on the CD that can be used to install the different drivers, make sure you click the button "Advance" to be able to see the touchpad driver.

Re-install the ATK files from the recovery disk. This happened to me once. it's most likely a problem with the hot buttons not the touchpad.

I think re-installing the Synaptics software should do it if you already re-installed ATK.

Just to make sure, have you gone into the control panel settings for the touchpad and made sure that scrolling is enabled (under "Virtual Scrolling")?
