Hello. Anyone experiencing some wobble with their g1s screen? When I pull the screen lightly and then release, it wobbles quite a bit and then stops. Is there anyway to make it stop wobbling or reduce it? thanks.

Don't pull lightly on the screen and release? :p

Learn to live with it is my best advice. It isn't terrible.

I'll try to keep my hands on the keyboard and mouse next time. ;) But the wobbling gets annoying because the table I have the g1s on is kinda shaky. :)

Get a better table? Get a coffee table for under $50? Reallly! It isn't that hard to prolong the life of your over $2000 investment.

You could always get some 1/4in thick angle brackets, and screw it in the corner, holding the screen in place...

    it would stop the wobbling...

    and the computer...

    ah, just a minor detail!

:D I'm saving up money to purchase a cooler for my notebook, preferably the zalman one. The table would have to wait. :p

If you're married, ask your wife to do you a favor and slap you. If you have kids, ask them to steal your credit cards and go on a shopping spree.

Either way, you're bound to spend money on a new table. :)

Actually I'm still a student going to Uni this year. :) About 2 more weeks until I move into my dorm, the table I believe, is secured to the wall. :D

I'm going to Uni this week too. Infact, this Friday. If the table is fixed to the wall, use a sledge hammer and break it. Then say that a giant possum came from nowhere and landed on the table and broke it. New Table and problem solved.

Good luck in Uni. Best of luck with a new table. :)

Hmm I haven't held the g1 in my own hands but does it have the removeable hinge covers? If so you can remove them and easily tighten the screws.

I checked the hinges. There seems to metal caps over the screws. Don't think you can remove them. Just tried. I couldn't

Thanks :) Good luck for you too. b <-(thumbs up) :p. In my dorm, they have one of those mini fridges... would be pretty useful when the g1s is getting hot. Hope it fits a 15.4 laptop. As for the table, I'll just throw it outside the window, then I won't have to worry about using the notebook on the grass. :D

EDIT: somehow the middle of the metal cap looks like an eyeball to me :p

Seems like your hinges are too tight. I had the same experience with my asus A8js which cracked my top base, lcd lid and front bezel. my hinges were replaced and regreased.

You can unscrew the 3 screws holding the cap on underneath it... Mine became loose, and I had to tighten it... Make sure you have a small enough screw driver to reach the screws though

Is it possible to show me where the screws are? I currently can't find them. Thanks :)
