hey guys, on my g1s, now sometimes and randomly, the screen freezes on me. the hdd light still blinks on and off and everything else seems normal, but the screen does not respond and i cannot tell if buttons (like the power button) do anything.

    definitely didnt do this before

of note, i have the laptopvideo2go drivers and this started happening after i uninstalled 3dmark06 and restarted

do you think this has to do with vid card drivers or is my computer broke?

Does the system come back when this happens? I would doubt it's the drivers, as LTV2G are pretty solid generally - sounds like something is momentarily spiking your cpu usage.

Run a registry cleaner and/or check your startup processes in MSCONFIG for a residual or other thing that's trying to perhaps do an internet update or something.

But I would also recommend moving back to the stock CD drivers, and see if the problem disappears. If it does, it's related to the video card software setup.

i wait about a min, system does not come back. its pretty random, happened on the restart after uninstalling 3dmark and has happened 2 more time randomly, both within 5 mins of system startup.

it might be some program hanging. ive uninstalled some of the asus bloatware and ill see what happens. also ran reg cleaner

btw the g1s-a1 i bought (btotech) has 1x vga and 1xhdmi but no dvi port. this is noted as such on the btotech website (and gentechpc) but when i goto newegg, they have 1xdvi instead of vga. so is newegg wrong or do they have some special g1s?
