This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    g1s vista backup problem

    i don't know if this is the right place to post, but me and my dad both have g1s books. had them for a couple months. i've been trying to use vista's backup and restore feature, and it worked fine a week or two ago, and now it wont work on my comp. my dad's is fine..

    i just get an error message saying the specified file cannot be found. i've tried both renewing my old backup, and deleting it and making a new one, but it never gets passed making a volume shadow copy. i can backup manually but an automatic backup would be very nice. 3rd party programs don't really appeal to me right now.

    any advise?
