I posted on this before and did not get much help but my laptop speakers won't produce sound when using the OS.

I however get sound with headphones plugged in (I have also tried wiggling the headphone jack assuming it got stucking thinking headphones were in). The laptop speakers are not dead becuase I get sound during boot... with the g1s-a1 the bios boom plays right when the laptop is turned out.

However, under windows vista if I take the volume slider to 0, then back up I get sound through my speakers.
Under Windows 7, nothing I do gives me speaker volume.

    Thanks.

This looks like audio driver bugs or glitches. You could try reinstalling or upgrading the audio drivers. Check the audio card's manufacturer website for the latest drivers.
