hi, i've realised tt most g2s owners generally achieve between 90-150 mins (which sucks quite badly) with the 8-cell battery.

is there any way we can purchase a larger battery or additional batteries from asus? i've read through some posts about someone selling 3rd-party batteries, but is it possible to get an official one from asus?

The use of third-party batteries is not recommended at all because of the possible instability and damage they can do and also the way that the battery chip and the systems inside the laptop are configured.
One of the good ways to get better battery life is to install XP because Vista kills it.

yep, tt's what i am looking for.. i'll try disabling the Aero interface initially to see how much battery life i can squeeze out of the g2s. does anyone have any idea how we can get additional / larger capacity batteries from asus?
