It seems like my system is using more memory then usual. CPU usage is at 0-20 when just surfing the web and listening to music and what not, but memory is at 59%. I have 82 processes going and and the two biggest are FF and counterstrike. Are they the reason its running slow while in game?? It was fine a few weeks ago, but now seems a little slow/choppy.
Also, how do I actually run a defrag?? I go to run it but it does nothing. I click defrag now and it analyzes and then just says to click again and does the same thing.
Is it possible to get sound out of all 6 of my speakers on this laptop? I have the logitech z5500 and only get 2.1. Any software or plugins anyone use?? Doesnt have to be surround, just sound.
Thanks

If you wanna defrag your hard drive, you can use UltraDefrag < click>, its free and effective, I think its better than what comes with Windows

59% memory usage for when gaming seems fine. I use like 2.5gb/3.5gb when playing Crysis.
Anyways try rebooting? That often fixes slowdowns. -
yea obviously you are going to use most of your computers power when playing a game

EIGHTY-TWO PROCESSES?
Am I the only one who sees something a little wrong with this?
atm I've got 29, including Winamp, Wc3, and FF O_O -
Even after using CCleanup and a reboot, its using 38% memory. That was with a just opened FF and wmp, no games or anything.

Which services and what not can i disable???

Ah Vista...I'm on XP, I never have more than 30 processes open MAX. Not sure the "normal" number for a Vista OS, however. Nonetheless, 82 just seems incredibly high.
