    just went to my local bestbuy (Miami, Fl) today and saw the x1 for $949 !!!!!

    Holy crap, thats the lowest it has ever gone on sale. Anyone on the fence for this laptop, this is your time to buy.

    I checked online and its still $1049 so im not sure what that is about, but Im thinking maybe its an in-store deal?

    If someone stops by a BB please confirm this.

    that's cheap. If I lived in America I'd jump straight on that and try replacing the 9700M GT in my G50V.

    All these changes and sales started after I bought it in late November for $1249. Blast you ASUS!! :mad:

    Oh well, it's still a great machine for the price.

    has nothing to do with asus its all best buy that reduces the prices

    they reduce prices on laptops and desktops but trust me they f you over with the cables and accessories. never buy cables and accessories at BB that's how they make their $$$$

    Bah. Nowhere near as bad as paying $1800 for the G50V-A2 only to find the Vt-A2 a couple months later for cheaper and with a better GPU. Still, can't complain too much. Agreed, it's a sweet value and after some relatively serious headaches works fine for me.

    that is the nature of computers. within 1 year only the laptop looses half its value. what do you expect in a few months? how can you even feel bad about this? If i would have waited a few years i could have save hundreds of thousands on my house. I still dont feel bad about it. I need a place to live just like you need a laptop

    anyways, not sure if this is a in-store only deal or what..Like I said if someone stops by a BB just check it out.

    Im sure theres still people looking for one of these out there, I bought mine for $1049...3 weeks later it was $999 and then it went back up to $1249 so.... yeah buy it now

    On my way home, I stopped at my local BB to check stock on another model but noticed that the g50vt was still at the regular, online price in the store - $1049. This was on the opposite side of the swamp (FM) from you so maybe it's just a Miami thing......or maybe just that one store. ??

    Since two ppl have now confirmed the price is not the same, maybe it was just an open box/returned item? They tend to be about $100-200 off depending on the condition. Just a thought, I dunno.

    no, this was the price tag on display for this model...maybe typo dunno?

    I would go and take a picture but...nah...lol.

    If it is a typo or if it is a miami thing, I guess the rest of you are screwed =(

    Same price in Rockford, IL the local BB has 14 in stock, and that is out of the original 20 they received. Appearntly, it's not selling too well...

    dude, it was the price they had on display.

    They have a table with all the laptops, right next to them little papers with the price and the basic specs. Im sure it wasnt an open item.
