I don't know, but I'm moving this to the main ASUS forum since this is the Owners' Lounges and Reviews forum. :)

There was a thread that someone put 8GB in, they even linked to the modules they bought off newegg (I think it was). This is the first thread I can remember but it's not the one I was thinking of:

I tried searching for about 5 mins so I'm done now... sorry. But don't take that as a YES because my memory is shot*

    *pun intended

It will support it and yes the user did get them off newegg... The problem is cost.... For 667Mhz 8gb I think it was between $350-$400...

800Mhz was about $650-$750, but I posted a topic today on that. I found pcnation.com had some 800MHz for $255 per 4gb dimm... But if you can wait I am working with one of the memory makers to get a cheaper 800Mhz kit.

Whats odd is the chipset says it can support 2GB modules, yet it can support 8GB of ram, which requied 4x2. So its all crazy but it has been confirmed by a few people that 8GB will work. It is required you have 64-bit OS and XP wont do it, even XP 64 wont handle 8gb good... So gots to be vista or Win 7.
