I have a g50vt-x5 that I was very very happy with, but recently, it has started eating game directories with wild abandon. the only way to get these games to work again is to reinstall them as the originbal game directories are corrupt, unreadable and do not work. the operating system seems to think that the games are already installed once, but it will not remove them because it cannot read the instal directories.
Additionally, it is really annoying because the disk space is being eaten up by corrupt directories that contain corrupted data.
It seems like it might be an operating system problem (boy I wish that microsoft would get its collective head out of its collective butt)... but it could also be a problem with the disk itself. Anyone else experience a similar problem? I am already planning on doing a complete reformat and reinstall of the operating system, but if I need to get a new system disk I should do that today rather than reinstall on a bad disk.
Thanks in advance for any replies!
