Alright, my pc was working fin a few hours ago and when I turned it off and left and came back, I turned my pc on and notice it was running off the batter, and I said "huh, that's funny, it's connected" and then when I look at the psu (power brick) the green light isn't on. Then I check the outlets and everything is fine. Then I measured the volts and what not from the cable from the outlets to the brick and it's fine. However, when I measured the cable from the brick to the pc the cable was dead.

My question is anyone else has had this type of problem?
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Oh, it's a brand new pc too, only a week and 5 days or so old.

Take out your battery and see if your notebook powers on only with the power adapter plugged in. If it does, try resetting your BIOS (reset button is a pin-sized hole underneath the notebook). If it doesn't power on, then you'll most likely need a power adapter replacement. Contact Asus customer service for a replacement.

No offense to David, but as you tested the 3 prong is getting power but the brick is not on and not putting power out to the connector not much else left to test.

Unless you think putting a load on it will bring it back to life.....

Call ASUS and get one sent to you, Best buy after 14 days is probably going to tell you todo the same, the only other thing they can do other then making the call for you is exchange the entire package.

I'm NOT trying to give you a hard time. But is it possible the brick itself isn't plugged into the power cable all the way?

Im mad how short the 3 prong section is and yeah its gone loose on me a couple of times. The cable is standard you can get a longer one.

Earlier while pulling part numbers i had the battery out and thought it would be a good idea to pull the power brick to me.... oops.

The power brick is pretty short I was shocked when I pulled it out of the box at first.

BTW I ordered an extra from ASUS and it doesn't come with the wall 2 brick cord so save your old one.

Since the cord is standard, I stole it from my old NP2090's brick. It's like 3 feet. You can imagine how far from an outlet I can be now :)

I made sure that it's correctly connected.
