Hello gentlemen, first of all im freaking out here

It has this weird white screen with colored bars. Sometimes the white part would turn grey and rarely i could see the desktop but it was all fuzzy (cant explain very well, im gonna try to take a picture of it). As you can see i've plugged a monitor and the image is fine.
The problem is: im living in another country now (and theres no support). I dont even know what the problem is (screen?)
What can i do to fix it? Any tutorials? And if the screen's to blame, whats the "brand" of the screen?
Please help this poor chap...![]()

Looks like some of the monitor connectors are wrong (if you're lucky) or the screen is flat-out screwed.
Neither of which I've had to fix, so I don't know how you would go about doing it. Hopefully you end up, at the worst, having to order a new screen. -
hmmm not really any support from Asus at all since it's a global warranty , but anyway , like what rezigrene said looks like it's the cable or the screen , you shall be able to find a screen ezly from ebay and just switch it out if that is the problem ...

Your screen is definitely going out. Get it repaired or RMA'd.
I doubt you can easily fix it unless you replace the LCD yourself. I've had this problem with another older laptop and the problem would resolve it self if I put the lid at certain angles or applied a certain amount of pressure to the LCD. Those are all temporary though and the screen eventually gave out. -
When I used to have my G50, one of the plastic covers on the main part of the chassis on either side, right under the screen came off. They're just plastic, and are only held on with a few tabs.
I'm pretty sure under those are the connectors from the screen to the mother board.
What I would try to do is *carefully* remove those and see what you're dealing with. Make sure that everything that needs unscrewed is unscrewed before you go yanking on something. Remove the covers, see if you can locate the screen connectors, and tryu reseating them. If that doesn't work, at least you know where a new screen would plug in to.
You might end up having to dismantle the whole chassis; just try not to void your warranty. If it says "Do not remove" then, you know... don't remove it.
