I noticed that bios 204 is up. I wish they posted the reason for revision.
    Anyone know the changes?

Oh, check and see if your computer turns on if you plug it in without a battery.
This is the only thing I can think of.

to test whether or not asus fixed it w/ v.204.
in case you didn't know, all g51j laptops, possibly with the exception of yours (now v.204), will turn on if you plug it in w/o the battery.

you're right, it's not really a problem. But it's the only thing that I can think of that could be revised, considering you didn't notice any changes.
so, did you try it?...plugging it in w/o the battery, that is.

lol...that must have been the reason for v204. I'm sure yours would have turned on if you still had v203. I know mine does. I just don't know whether or not to make the switch.

peer pressure got to me...and I did it!
you know what, I think you're right. I'm noticing a temp drop too.
which version gpu driver are you using? I'm using 186.82. I think I might switch back to stock or 186.81 because my brightness switch (fn+f4/f5) don't work.

btw, my computer no longer turns on when plugging it in w/o the battery.

Are saying quiet office and entertainment mode result in same gameplay?
What are your temperature while gaming in quiet office and also in entertainment mode?

max temp ent mode 95 max temp quiet mode 85. I just went with game defaults, I havent tweaked any of the settings so I couldnt tell you what they are, those temps are with COD4 mulitplayer , crysis and warhead. now I am sure some ubergame geeks might not like the looks but to me it seemed to play fine, I did notice the loading sequence of crysis taking longer than usual

BIOS 204 fixed the following issues:

    1. Fixed POST LOGO is slowly if fancy start uses default logo and
    non-default wave.
    2. Update Setup menu help string.
    3. Fixed bar code scanner can't recognize long bar code in DOS (for
    manufacture process).
    4. Fixed system can't change boot sequence to network if system with two
HDD and HDD data is empty.
    5. Set Legacy USB to enable in default.

    Mr. Ken Lee,
while your here, let me ask you this...can you get express gate to work with wifi? I have intel 5300 wifi card and expressgate does not recognise wifi, whatsoever.
